These tens pad placement points are for a dual channel machine. If you only have a single channel machine try placing the tens pads mid-way between the pad positions shown on the diagram.

The placement of the Tens machine electrode pads for general back pain is higher up. Note the polarity reversal of the two channels. This tends to vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some manufacturers do not have this polarity reversal when positioning the tens electrode pads, so it may be worthwhile experimenting
